Area Police
Approximately fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.
Officers say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.
The fluid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they added.
Officers then located multiple other smeared vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials report preliminary tests suggest the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no indication as to its source; authorities are currently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.
City officials said they were working "to resolve the case" and have requested to the public for information.
An important representative stated the incident left him speechless and required to be resolved quickly.
"This incident affects the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, recalling the killing of nine people by a assailant targeting people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
